Tools and arguments

Tool	Arguments	What it does
`PartsVin`	17-character VIN without I, O or Q; `source` as `pl24` or `tecdoc`; `search` with an English part name	Decodes the vehicle and returns groups, categories or matching OE parts.
`PartsDiagram`	The diagram from a VIN result	Returns the diagram image, which the assistant shares with `ShareImage`. Positions are not highlighted.
`PartsShopSearch`	Code mode by default, text mode by name; filters for brands, maximum price excluding VAT, in-stock only and sort order	A single search returns up to 30 results per page, 10 by default. A batch search returns 5 in-stock options per number by default and at most 10. The top aftermarket result carries its OE cross-references.
`PartsCartAdd`	One article, or `items`; quantity; `targetOE`; basket note of up to 50 characters; `groupId` from a shop search	Adds articles. A brand named in the call wins, then the account's Preferred brands.
`PartsCartRemove`	Article number	Removes articles by article number, never by name.
`PartsCart`	None	Returns the basket with the subtotal excluding VAT and the total including VAT.
`PartsOrder`	`confirm`	Without `confirm` it validates the basket and sends nothing. With `confirm: true` it sends the order and returns the order number.
`PartsOrders`	`days`, `internalId`, `query`	Reads orders live, defaulting to 90 days. A query matching up to 10 order numbers reads only those in full; otherwise the first 30 orders of the period are read.

VIN lookup modes

PartsVin tries PartsLink24 first and falls back to TecDoc. With PartsLink24 it lists main groups, subgroups and exact OEM parts, and search returns matching OE parts directly. With TecDoc it lists categories and their parts, and the same keyword returns matching categories instead of parts.

Cache layout

Caches are plain files in the plugin data directory on the server, not in a database. Each folder holds one kind of data:

File names are hashes of the lookup key. Each entry is a .json file, and an image is stored next to it as a .bin file.

Entries never expire; deleting one forces a fresh lookup. A damaged file is logged, deleted and fetched again. Shop prices, the cart and order history are never cached, and losing the cache costs only lookup speed.

The packaged Parts skill is loaded by core's native skill-directory loader; account grants and skill visibility remain host-owned. Implementation details cover the surrounding runtime.
