Have Chetty summarize a document
A contract, a report or the minutes of a meeting can be long. Attach the document and Chetty writes a summary you can read in a minute.
Before you start
- Have the file saved in your computer or your phone.
- Scanned pages are read as pictures, so they work only when your account can read pictures. If the summary misses everything, see If it does not work.
Attach the document
- Open Chat and choose the conversation you want, or click New chat.
- Select the paperclip beside the message field (Attach a file) and choose the document.
- Wait until the upload finishes. A large file takes a moment.
- Write what you need and select Send.
Nothing else is needed: Chetty reads the file and answers in the same conversation.
Say how long and in what form
Tell Chetty the length and the shape you need, for example:
- "Summarize this document in ten points."
- "Write a half-page summary for my manager."
- "List only the decisions and the deadlines."
Without a request, Chetty chooses the length itself.
Check the summary
The summary is a help, not a replacement for the document.
- Ask where a fact stands: "Where exactly does the document say this?"
- Ask for what is missing: "Add the payment terms and the notice period."
- Read the important numbers in the original.
If it does not work
- The file could not be uploaded and was not attached. Check that the conversation has a Project you can write to and attach the file again.
- The answer stops in the middle of a sentence. Ask for a shorter summary, or send a long document one chapter at a time.
- Chetty says it cannot read the document. Ask your administrator to check your access to files.
- The summary invents facts. Paste only the part you need and ask about that part.
