Have Chetty prepare a reply
A polite answer takes minutes. Chetty writes the first version from the original mail and from what you tell it, and you decide whether it leaves.
Before you start
- Access at least Drafts, otherwise Chetty cannot write at all. Choose Sending when you want Chetty to offer sending; you set it in Manage accounts.
- The message you are answering must be in a connected mailbox.
Prepare the reply
- Open Email and the message you want to answer.
- Choose Reply with agent. A conversation opens, the request already says "Help me reply to this email:" and the mail sits in it as an Email reference.
- Add what the answer should say: "Say we agree and can start on Monday. Keep it short and formal."
- Send the request.
- Chetty writes the reply and shows it in the conversation. Read it and ask for changes in the same conversation.
Check and send
Before anything leaves, Chetty asks. Under the question you see the email as it will be sent: the sender, all recipients including copies, the subject, the attachments with their size and the complete text.
- Send — the email leaves now.
- Save draft — it waits in Drafts of that mailbox and you finish or send it on the Email page.
- Cancel — nothing is sent and nothing is saved.
When nobody can confirm, for example in a task that runs on its own, Chetty saves a draft and alerts you instead. Such an email is never sent on its own.
If it does not work
- Read only — the mailbox does not allow writing. Ask your administrator, or change Access in Manage accounts.
- This is not a valid email address. — correct or remove the address before you send.
- Remove or leave out the attachments over the size limit. — send fewer or smaller attachments; Microsoft mailboxes accept less than 3 MB each.
- The reply sounds unlike you. Tell Chetty the tone and a sentence you would write yourself, and let it try again.
