Talk to Chetty in a call

Sometimes it is faster to say it than to type it. In a call you tell Chetty your request out loud and hear the answer, and the whole call stays in the conversation as text.

Before you start

  • You need a microphone and speakers, best a headset.
  • Calls have to be switched on for your account. Without that you will not see Call in the menu, and the section If it does not work tells you what to ask for.
  • A call is charged by the minute, including the time Chetty spends waiting for a result.

Start a call

  1. Open Chat and the conversation you want to talk in, or start a new one.
  2. Next to the message field, click Options. On a phone this button shows only an icon with sliders.
  3. In the Voice group, choose Call.
  4. The first time, the browser asks whether it may use the microphone. Allow it.
  5. Say what you need, as you would to a colleague. For example: "Shrň mi novou poštu od pana Nováka a navrhni odpověď."
  6. Listen to the answer. When you are done, click Hang up.

On the Home page the same call starts from the phone icon beside the message field; Chetty opens a new conversation for it.

During the call

The message field is locked while the call runs; the call state shows in its place:

  • Connecting… while the call is set up.
  • Listening when it is your turn to speak.
  • Speaking while Chetty answers.
  • Chetty is working when it has stepped away to finish a task.
  • Ending call… after you hang up.

The time of the call runs beside the phone icon. To end it, click the red button with the crossed-out phone, or Hang up.

After the call

A message stays in the conversation with the length of the call and a one-sentence summary. Click its Call transcript to read the You and Chetty lines.

The result appears in the same conversation, so you can read it calmly and continue in writing.

When Chetty calls you back

Turn on Call me back in Account → Voice. Chetty can then ring you after a spoken request when it needs an answer or has the result.

A window with the topic appears, either Incoming call or Chetty has the result, together with a ringtone. Click Accept to take it, or Decline to leave it; the result then waits in the conversation.

If it does not work

  • Microphone access was denied. Click the lock icon next to the address, allow the microphone there and call again.
  • Another voice call is already in progress. A call is running in another tab. End it there and call again.
  • The voice service is unavailable. Try again in a moment; if it keeps happening, tell your administrator.
  • The maximum call length was reached. The call has a limit set by your administrator. Call again, or write the request instead.
  • The call ended after inactivity. Chetty heard nothing for a while. Start the call again and speak.
  • The call was disconnected. Start a new call; what Chetty already heard stays in the conversation.
  • If there is no Voice group in Options, ask your administrator for Voice access.
