Pair a WhatsApp account

Link the bot to a WhatsApp account, keep the link healthy and remove it when you no longer need it.

Pair with a QR code

  1. Install and enable the plugin.
  2. Open its Pairing panel and select Pair device.
  3. Open WhatsApp on the phone → Linked devices → Link a device.
  4. Scan the QR code shown in the panel.

The QR code appears only in the authenticated pairing panel, never in a log.

Pair with a phone number

  1. Set the bot's number under Pairing phone number, in international format without a +, spaces or dashes.
  2. Select Pair device. An 8-character code appears in the authenticated pairing window only.
  3. In WhatsApp, choose Link with phone number and enter that code.

The QR code stays available as well. Either way, finish by adding at least one sender policy; see Choose which WhatsApp senders the bot answers.

Check the connection

The plugin keeps the paired session across reconnects, and it retries temporary connection loss automatically with no fixed attempt limit. The Pairing panel shows the current connection state.

Note: A retained link does not mean the connection is ready right now. Do not pair again just because the linked account looks offline; check the state in the panel first.

Commands

  • /new starts a fresh conversation in the chat, and /help lists the commands.
  • /model and /reasoning open numbered menus for the chat's model and reasoning level.
  • /fast turns fast mode on or off for your own account, and /project switches the conversation into one of your Projects. Neither needs the operator setting.
  • /context, /stop, /stats, /compact and /restart need a sender policy with the administrator flag.

Unpair

  1. Open the Pairing panel and select Unpair device.
  2. Confirm the dialog.

The plugin requests a logout and clears the local link. A logout that WhatsApp does not confirm cannot be promised, so check the device list in WhatsApp afterwards. A registered logout needs a fresh pairing afterwards, while a first pairing that expired keeps its unfinished credentials.
