What the rows in a conversation mean
Between your messages and the answers are short rows that record what happened. Chetty reads the same rows, so it knows what you know, and they stay after you reload the page.
The short rows
A row appears whenever something worth remembering happens:
- An answer you stopped, an error, or an answer that reached its limit.
- A change of model, of work mode, of title or of folder.
- The result of a step.
- A step Chetty asked for and did not get.
Stopped answers
When you stop an answer, Interrupted by user stays in the conversation and the text written so far stays with it. Chetty sees both, so "continue" or "that is not what I meant" work as a next message.
An answer you discarded before it produced anything leaves no row at all.
Errors
A failed request shows one clear row with the error. Chetty's own messages are written in your language; a message that comes from outside Chetty is shown exactly as it arrived.
Chetty sees the error too, so a follow-up such as "try again" or "do it another way" works.
Changes and command results
A change of model, of work mode or of the title appears as a row. It shows even when you made the change from another device. A change of mode during running work takes effect when the current answer ends.
When Chetty shortens an over-long conversation, the row reads Context shortened. A step that fails carries its own error.
Messages sent while Chetty works
Chetty answers one message at a time. A message you send during an answer shows Queued under the message field and is handed over at the next suitable moment.
- Use Remove from queue next to it to take it back.
- If the answer ends before Chetty reads your message, the message starts the next answer.
The work log
Every answer has a work log. While Chetty works, the header reads Working…. When it finishes, the header says how long it worked, or that it stopped or failed after a while.
Reasoning, the steps Chetty took and half-finished text fold into the work log, so the answer itself stays readable. Click the header to open or close it.
Work that runs in the background
Some of the work can continue on its own. When it finishes, a row names the task and its outcome, and a task that is still running can be stopped from its own row.
A line with an exclamation mark
A line that starts with ! runs a command on the computer. Its output shows as a block, and Chetty reads it on its next step. This works in the command-line chat only, and the browser never needs it. Read Chat on the command line.
