Set up voice: your voice, language and callback

Here you choose how Chetty sounds, what language it speaks and whether it calls you back. Everything saves by itself.

Before you start

  • Voice has to be switched on for your account; that is what the Voice access permission covers. It applies to calls, call-backs and dictation.
  • If the page says Voice is unavailable, read If voice is unavailable.

Choose a voice

  1. Open Account → Voice.
  2. Under Voice, pick the voice you like. Only the voices your organization offers are listed.
  3. Point at a voice and click the speaker beside it to hear a sample; click it again to stop it.

The voice you choose is used on your calls only, not for anyone else.

Choose the call language

Language sets the language Chetty speaks and understands on a call:

  • Account language follows the language of your account.
  • Czech, Slovak or English pins one language.
  • Other language lets you type a language code of your own into Language code.

Call me back

Switch Call me back on and Chetty rings you after a spoken request when it needs an answer or has the result. Leave it off and the result waits in the conversation instead.

Dictation

Dictating is described in Dictate a message. The setting Stop dictation after a pause on this page belongs to it: it decides how long the silence may be before dictation ends by itself. It offers 3, 5, 10 or 20 seconds, or Never.

If voice is unavailable

  • The page says Voice is unavailable and the list of voices is empty.
  • Language and Call me back still work, so set them now and they apply as soon as voice is back.
  • Ask your administrator to switch voice on and to give you Voice access.
