Fix a missing plugin tool or page
Work through these checks when an account cannot reach a tool or a page a plugin should provide.
Check in this order
- Is the plugin enabled? Open Settings → Plugins and confirm the card is enabled, not only installed.
- Does the account have the grant? Open the account under Users and check Granted plugins. A user-grantable plugin stays unavailable to everyone, administrators included, until it is granted.
- Is the configuration complete? Open the plugin's Setup tab and clear every missing value; keys and passwords are entered in Settings → Access.
- Does the plugin provide the tool? Open its Capabilities tab and its tool list. A tool the plugin never registered cannot be granted later by account settings.
- Is the plugin healthy? Read Activity for errors and recent log entries, then follow Install and update plugins if the plugin itself fails to load.
Account tool permissions apply on top of a grant: a granted plugin still offers nothing to an account whose tool policy excludes that tool. See Users and access overview.
Inspect tools from the CLI
The /tools command is available in the CLI only, to administrators. It lists plugin tool owners, descriptions and a summary of each tool's parameters, which is the quickest way to see whether a tool exists at all.
Note:
/toolsis an administration command, not a list members can ask for. For another account, check the command catalogue and the pages and tools the plugin's grant exposes.
If the plugin itself does not load
A plugin that was enabled when the licensing server could not be reached may stay unavailable until the server answers again. It remains enabled in settings, and its tools and pages report that they are temporarily unavailable instead of disappearing.
If the plugin loaded before a change and does not work afterwards, check whether a restart is still pending, then read the plugin's Activity tab. A plugin that needs a newer core or a shared API version cannot be enabled at all; see Choose a plugin to install.
