Load a skill in chat
Put the right instructions into the conversation with one command.
Open the picker
- Type
/in the message box of web or terminal chat. - Choose a skill by its name and one-line description.
- Select Load into conversation. The instructions enter the conversation.
/skills opens the same picker directly, with a filter field when the list is long.
Load a skill by name
Type /<skill-name> and send. The same instructions load, and any text after the name travels with the request.
If the name collides with another command or is longer than 32 characters, use /skills or /skill:name instead.
Read a long skill
Chetty sees a skill's name and description first and loads the full instructions only when they apply or you pick them. SkillLoad reads one skill by its exact name, up to 500 lines at a time.
The result says which lines came back, the total and the starting point for the rest. The available-skills list also shows each skill's length in lines, so you know when a skill comes in parts.
If a name is unavailable or you misspell it, check ListSkills for the exact name instead of guessing.
Pass input to a skill
Some skills ask for input, such as a file name or a topic. Give it to SkillLoad with the skill, and keep a quoted phrase inside one pair of quotes so it stays together.
Automatic or manual only
By default an eligible skill can be chosen automatically when a task matches. Turn off Show to agent automatically and you can still load it with /<skill-name>, /skill:name or the picker.
An administrator's per-account switch for plugin skills follows the same rule. These switches control automatic discovery only, not your permission to use the skill.
A skill without a description can be loaded by its exact name, but Chetty will not pick it on its own.
When a change applies
A saved skill change applies from the next message and does not restart Chetty. A turn that is already running is not rewritten.
If a saved change cannot be applied immediately, Chetty says that it will take effect after the next restart.
If it does not work
- The slash menu does not list a skill: check that the plugin grant covers the account, and that the skill is not instance-wide while you look at a personal catalog.
- A command is not recognized: the name may collide with another command or be longer than 32 characters. Use
/skillsor/skill:name. - Chetty ignores a skill you expected it to use: it may be manual-only, or it may have no description.
