Take back your last message
Sometimes the question was wrong or the answer went the wrong way. You can take the last exchange back and ask again from a cleaner point.
Take the last messages back
- Click into the conversation so the message field has the cursor.
- Press F9. A running answer stops first.
- Press F9 again. The newest messages disappear from the conversation.
When there is nothing left to remove, Chetty says No message left to remove. and changes nothing.
When it refuses
Taking messages back changes the conversation itself, so it waits until nothing else is happening. It refuses, and tells you why, while the conversation is:
- It is still shortening its history or saving the last answer.
- A message waits in the queue, or a question waits for your answer.
- A reminder or a longer task that the last answer started is still running.
Finish or stop that work, then press F9 again.
What it does not do
Taking messages back changes the visible conversation only. Steps Chetty already carried out stay done, and work that runs in the background keeps running.
If you want the work itself stopped, use Stop first. Read Stop or correct Chetty while it works.
