What Chetty remembers

Tell Chetty what to remember or forget

You do not have to explain the same thing twice. Chetty keeps short notes about you and your work — a preference, a decision, a detail about the office — and uses them in later conversations. You only say what to keep.

Ask Chetty to remember

  1. Open Chat and any conversation, or start a new one.
  2. Ask in the message field, as you would ask a colleague: "Remember that letters for the tax office go to Mr Novák."
  3. Send it. Chetty saves the note, and you can check it on the Memory page.

Keep the note short and self-contained: one fact, with the reason if it matters. "We write to the tax office in formal Czech and always mention the file number" will serve better than "as we said".

Ask Chetty to forget

  1. Write it in the conversation: "Forget that I sit on the second floor."
  2. Chetty moves the note to the trash, so it stops using it.
  3. To remove it for good, open Memory, set Status to Deleted, select the note and click Delete permanently.

Check and correct a memory

  1. Open Memory in the sidebar.
  2. Type into Search memories… to find the note.
  3. Click the row. The Memory detail opens beside the list.
  4. Click Edit, correct the text, then Done. Changes save by themselves.

Old notes fade away over time, so a detail that matters should be corrected rather than repeated. How that works is in When memories fade and how to restore them.

What not to save

Never put passwords, PINs, card numbers or access codes into memory. It is a notebook, not a safe, and whatever you save there can be recalled later in another conversation.

Your notes belong to you. Only the shared pool of a Project reaches the other members of that Project.

If it does not work

  • Chetty says it cannot remember anything. Your account may not be allowed to write notes; ask your administrator.
  • No memories match your search. Clear the filters above the list, especially Status and Category, or search for a word from the note itself.
  • A note is never used in a conversation. A note with no category is stored but not recalled; ask Chetty to file it, or pick a category in the Memory detail.
  • In a channel other than Chetty, memory may be refused. Write to Chetty in its own chat instead.
