What the assistant can do in Raynet
You can ask Chetty to find a client, add a deal or update a contact, and Chetty does it in Raynet for you. This page lists what it can do and how a risky change is checked first.
The operations
| Operation | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search | Lists or filters records of any Raynet record type. |
| Read one | Reads a record by its id, or by your own external id. |
| Describe | Shows the record types, their operations, filter and sort columns, the fields for create and update with required markers, and picklist values. |
| Create | Creates a record. |
| Update | Changes the fields you send for one record; other fields stay as they are. |
| Delete | Deletes one record, after confirmation. |
| Action | Runs an action on a record, such as lock, merge or anonymize; irreversible ones after confirmation. |
| Raw request | Sends any request to Raynet. Off by default. |
What may run at all follows the Access mode your administrator chose; Work with Raynet in Chetty explains the three modes.
Read-only runs
A run that may only inspect, such as a helper that gathers data, sees only the searching, reading and describing operations. The writing ones stay hidden from it, so it cannot change anything by accident.
Preview a write
Before writing, Chetty can show the exact request without sending it.
- A preview needs no confirmation.
- It still checks access, the record, the data and the sign-in, so a failed preview shows a real problem.
- A real deletion, an irreversible action or a raw write always needs your explicit consent.
Picklist values
Fields such as phase, category, currency and status take numeric ids, not text. Chetty reads the valid ids first, so a wrong name never becomes a value in Raynet.
