Tell Chetty how to talk to you
Replies can be short or thorough, formal or friendly. Choose a style once and add your own wishes when the four styles do not fit.
Communication style
- Open Account → Personality.
- Under Communication style, pick one:
| Style | What you get |
|---|---|
| Concise | Short answers without filler. The default, and still complete when you ask for an explanation. |
| Professional | Formal wording for a text somebody else will read. |
| Friendly | Warmer, conversational replies that can still be brief. |
| Detailed | More context, reasons and examples before the answer. |
- Send a message and read the reply. The choice saves by itself and applies to your conversations.
Chetty also matches the form to the reader, so a formal e-mail can come with a friendly sentence around it.
Your own instructions
Agent instructions is free text for anything a style cannot say: the language, a format you always want, words to avoid.
- In Account → Personality, click Add instructions (or Edit instructions when some exist).
- Write in plain text, for example: "Put the conclusion first. Keep the tone formal. Write dates as 5. 3. 2026."
- Close the field. Your instructions apply everywhere in your account, next to the chosen style.
Keep them short and concrete. A long list of wishes competes with itself, and a rule that never matters still costs attention on every reply.
Which rule wins
When two wishes disagree, the narrower one wins:
- What you ask for in the current message.
- What you saved in your instructions.
- The chosen Communication style.
So asking for "the short version" gives you a short answer even with Detailed selected.
What it does not change
These settings shape the wording only. They grant no access, they do not change which model answers, and they do not make Chetty work less carefully or skip checking a result.
