Find parts by VIN

Give the assistant a vehicle's VIN and get the exact parts for it, a diagram to read the position on, and matching articles from the shop.

Before you start

  • The account has a CoraHB login; otherwise only the catalog lookups work.
  • An administrator has configured PartsLink24, TecDoc, or both.

Read the VIN

A VIN has 17 characters and never contains the letters I, O or Q. Type it without spaces.

Tip: If a lookup finds nothing, check the VIN first. One wrong character changes the vehicle, and the catalogs will not correct it for you.

Decode and browse

  1. Ask the assistant for parts by the VIN, for example "find the front brake discs for VIN …". It identifies the vehicle and picks the catalog, trying PartsLink24 first and falling back to TecDoc.
  2. Ask for a specific catalog if you want one: PartsLink24 lists main groups, subgroups and the exact OEM parts, while TecDoc lists categories and their parts.
  3. Follow the groups down until you reach the part you need.

Results include OE numbers. The shop search uses them to find aftermarket equivalents.

Search by part name

With PartsLink24, an English part name returns the matching OE parts directly. With TecDoc, the same keyword returns matching categories for you to pick from.

Open the diagram

The assistant can show the diagram image in the chat. Positions on the image are not highlighted, so the reader finds the number on the diagram and matches it to the list.
