Manage tasks that run on their own

The Automation page holds everything Chetty does without being asked: what is planned, what already ran and what went wrong. Nothing here needs to be watched; come back when you want to check or change something.

Find a task

The list shows each task with its Schedule, its owner, its state and its last result. Use the search field or the Mine, Instance and All filters to narrow it. Open a task to see its detail, with the plan and the rest of the settings.

Create a task

  1. Choose Add job.
  2. Set the Schedule type: Interval, Daily, Weekly or Advanced cron. The Next run tells you when it will fire next.
  3. Write in Prompt what Chetty should do each time; in plain words, that is the instruction for the task.
  4. Pick a Model if you want a different one than usual, and the Project it should work in.
  5. Choose Recurring job for a repeated task, or One-shot for a single reminder.

A new task waits for its next time; it does not run at once. Changes apply within 30 seconds. The Check command decides whether Chetty runs at all and needs a technical hand; leave it empty unless your administrator sets it up for you.

Run a task now

Open a task and choose Run now for one extra run. The same button is on a calendar card and on the result of a failed run. A one-time reminder cannot be run again.

On a computer the accepted run appears in the corner with its state, and Open history shows that exact run. Only the person who clicked Run now sees it, administrators included, and closing a finished run marks it as seen. On a phone the same run is visible in the history.

Pause or delete a task

Pause keeps the task and stops its schedule; Re-enable sets it going again from that moment. Delete job removes the task with its calendar entries and conversation links, and asks first. Deleting a Project also removes the tasks bound to it.

Read the calendar

The Calendar tab shows when tasks run. Switch between Day and Week and move with Previous week, Next week and Today. The filters Owner, Status, Type and Range narrow the page, and Next run lists the coming times of every repeated task.

Read the history

The History tab lists past runs with Status, its outcome and daily totals, filtered by Outcome. A result preview keeps its first 2,000 characters and the full answer may expire. Individual runs stay for seven days, daily totals for ninety.

When a run fails or its result cannot be delivered, the owner of the task gets an alert.
