Arrange Projects and choose your default

Put the Project you use most in the first position, so a new conversation that has no chosen target already runs there.

Move a Project

  1. Open Projects.
  2. Press and hold a Project card and drag it to a new position.

The card lands where you drop it, and the first card in the list carries the Default badge.

Move with the keyboard

  1. Focus a card's move handle.
  2. Press Space or Enter to pick the Project up.
  3. Use the arrow keys to move it.
  4. Press Space or Enter to drop it, or Escape to cancel.

Chetty announces each new position as you move, so the order can be changed without seeing the list.

What the order changes

  • The first usable Project is the default. A new conversation without a chosen target opens there.
  • The order belongs to your account. It follows you across devices and browsers.
  • New Projects arrive at the end. A Project that is newly shared with you is added last.
  • An unusable default is skipped. If the first Project is a disconnected computer, the next one in your order is used.
  • A conversation stays where it is. Changing the order does not move a conversation that already runs in a Project.

Check that it worked

  1. Reload Projects and confirm your choice is still first and shows Default.
  2. Start a new chat and check the Project shown in its picker.
