Raynet

The Raynet plugin connects Elowen to Raynet CRM through Raynet's API v2. The assistant gets tools to search, read, create, update, delete and act on Raynet records such as clients, deals, offers and activities. The plugin also adds a Raynet page to the left menu, where you can browse the CRM and sign in with your own Raynet login.

Everyone works under the company Raynet account that the administrator sets up, unless a person switches on their own credentials.

Install

  1. Open Settings → Plugins → Available and install Raynet. The marketplace lists only the plugins your licence allows.
  2. Open the plugin's settings under Settings → Plugins. Fill in Instance name, Company username and Company API key.
  3. Choose an Access mode. Keep Allow raw requests off unless you need it.
  4. Grant the plugin to each person who should use it. Open Users, select the user, and use Manage granted plugins.

Administrator settings

SettingDefaultWhat it does
Instance nameRequired, no defaultYour Raynet instance name, in lowercase exactly as Raynet spells it. A wrong name answers "Instance not found", not a login error. It applies to everyone.
Company usernameEmptyThe Raynet login everyone works under who has not switched on their own credentials. Unattended runs, such as a scheduled job owned by nobody or a webhook, use it too.
Company API keyEmptyThe API key of the company login (in Raynet: User settings → API key). It is stored on the server and never shown again.
Allow personal credentialsOnLets a person switch to their own Raynet login, so their work is attributed to them. When it is off, everyone works under the company account and stored personal credentials are ignored.
Access modeRead and write (including delete)Sets what the assistant may do in the CRM. See below.
Allow raw requestsOffEnables the RaynetRequest tool, which can call any endpoint of the API.

The access mode limits what a turn may do in the CRM:

  • Read only: the assistant can search and read records.
  • Read and write (including delete): the assistant can also create and update records, and delete a single record.
  • Full (including merge and anonymize): the assistant can also merge and anonymize records, and run other operations that cannot be undone.

Every irreversible operation also needs an explicit confirmation in the tool call. Raw requests stay off until an administrator enables them, and a raw write needs the Full mode.

Using the Raynet page

  1. Click Raynet in the left menu. The header shows the instance, the number of record types, the requests left today and what the assistant may do.
  2. Choose a record type in Record type, type in the search box and click Search. With no search text, the newest records appear first.
  3. Click a column header that is a button to sort by that column. Use Back and Next to move between pages.
  4. Click a row to open Detail beside the list. Click Close to hide it.

If you are not signed in yet, the page opens the Sign in to Raynet group, which starts collapsed. To work under your own login:

  1. Turn on Use my own credentials.
  2. Enter your Username and API key. The key is in Raynet under User settings → API key.
  3. Click Save and test connection. The page then reports whether Raynet accepted the sign-in.

Leave the API key field empty to keep the key you already saved. To go back to the company account, turn Use my own credentials off and save. Your saved key stays in place. Test saved credentials repeats the connection test without saving anything.

If a search finds nothing, the page shows Nothing found. If Raynet cannot be reached, it shows Could not load from Raynet with a retry button.

The assistant's Raynet tools

ToolWhat it does
RaynetSearchLists or filters records of any Raynet record type.
RaynetGetReads one record by its id or by your own external id.
RaynetDescribeShows the record types, their operations, filter and sort columns, writable fields and picklist values.
RaynetCreateCreates a record.
RaynetUpdateChanges the fields you send for one record. Other fields stay as they are.
RaynetDeleteDeletes one record. Needs confirmation.
RaynetActionRuns an action on a record, such as lock, merge or anonymize. Irreversible actions need confirmation.
RaynetRequestSends a raw request to the API. Off by default.

Before a write, the assistant can preview it with a dry run. A preview shows the exact request and sends nothing. Picklist fields such as phase, category, currency and status take numeric ids, not text. The assistant reads the valid ids with RaynetDescribe.

Raynet allows 24 000 requests per day for the whole account. When fewer than 1000 remain, the assistant warns about it. When the limit is used up, the assistant stops and reports when it resets, at midnight UTC.

Limits and cost

  • Raynet's daily quota is 24 000 requests per account, reset at midnight UTC. The plugin warns below 1000 remaining.
  • Raynet allows four concurrent connections per instance. The plugin keeps at most two requests in flight in one process.
  • Each request has a 30 second timeout.
  • Only GET requests are retried, and only after a 429 caused by too many concurrent connections, with waits of 1 s and 4 s. A write is never retried, because a repeated create would make a second record.
  • Lists return 25 records per page by default, and a single call accepts at most 1000.
  • Date filters in ISO form are rewritten to the spelling Raynet accepts. Raynet answers any other date spelling with an error.
  • Picklist lookups show the first 200 values of a code list.
  • Raw requests are off by default and refused for any write unless the access mode is Full.
